Arif Abdullah, a Partially Blind Music Producer, Singer & Songwriter, Multi-Instrumentalist, and Former Professional Photographer.
Arif Abdullah’s journey began with a passion for photography, capturing life’s beauty through his lens. But after being diagnosed with Choroideremia, a condition that gradually impaired his vision, Arif shifted from visual arts to music. This transition led him to discover the harmonica and immerse himself in the blues.
Over time, he mastered the harmonica, establishing himself as a professional musician in Bangladesh. His love for wind instruments then took him even further, as he explored traditional flutes from different cultures, such as the South American quena, Arabic Ney, Irish Tin Whistle, Indian bansuri and more.
Additionally, he has been writing, composing, and performing as a Bengali singer-songwriter for more than 15 years. Driven by a desire to connect with the roots of different musical traditions, Arif not only mastered the techniques of these instruments but also began collecting and crafting his own, adding a personal touch to each one.
