Arif Abdullah is a multi-disciplinary artist and music educator from Bangladesh, whose journey began with a camera and evolved into a lifelong pursuit of soulful expression through sound. Once a visual artist and photographer, Arif transitioned into music after being diagnosed with Choroideremia, a rare eye condition that causes gradual vision loss.
He found a new voice in wind instruments—especially the harmonica and a variety of native flutes such as the ney, quena, shakuhachi, tin whistle, and bansuri—drawing deeply from blues, folk, and diverse ethnic musical traditions.
Through his initiative Breathe School of Life, Arif explores how learning and practicing music can bring healing, clarity, and emotional strength in today's fast-paced world.
